KIEV, December 26 (RIA Novosti) - Incumbent Ukrainian President Leonid Kuchma appealed to both presidential candidates to concede defeat in case if either of them loses the race.

"The candidate who loses the presidential race must congratulate the winner on the second day after the announcement of the official results in order to avoid another political crisis," Mr. Kuchma told journalists after casting his vote at one of the polling stations in Kiev.

"People are tired of politics and disturbing political statements. The Ukrainian people wants peace and order in the country," he underlined.

Mr. Kuchma rejected the possibility of election fraud during the current runoff.

When I cast my vote I prayed, "Dear Lord, let it be the final voting," the incumbent president emphasized.

Mr. Kuchma announced that after his resignation he would continue to participate actively in the political life of the country. He mentioned that he would concentrate his efforts in the work of a foundation he recently created.

Mr. Kuchma also noted that the work of his foundation would be focused on support of talented young people and on development of ideology that would unite Ukrainian people.
