BERLIN, November 20 (RIA Novosti) -A two-day meeting of the G-20 finance ministers and central bank presidents opens in Berlin on Saturday.

Russia is represented by Central Bank head Sergei Ignatyev and director of the Finance Ministry's sovereign debt and state financial assets department, Sergei Storchak.

Mr. Cayo Koch-Weser, Secretary of State at Germany's Federal Ministry for Finance told a press conference on Friday that the main issue to be discussed at the meeting would concern prospects for establishing control over the world oil prices.

According to him, participants of the meeting will also consider such basic issues as the current situation on the world markets, enhancement of measures against money laundering and financing of the international terrorism, demographic problems in the G-20 countries and other questions.

The forum is to adopt a declaration binding the G-20 members to abide by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development's Code on trans-border information exchange in the field of taxation.

The German Federal Secretary of State specifically emphasized that the issue of euro's continued strengthening against the dollar was not on the meeting's agenda. He thinks, however, that the issue would certainly by discussed by the participants on the sidelines of the meeting.

According to sources close to the Russian delegation, the issue of Russia's debt to Germany would be discussed at bilateral Russian-German meetings. Russian Finance Minister Alexei Kudrin said last month that "Russia is holding a dialogue with Germany's Ministry for Finance". "Our aim," he pointed out, "is to discuss conditions which would let Russia replace its non-marketable debts with a market-based loan and partially repay the debts at an appropriate discount."
