MOSCOW, November 6 (RIA Novosti) - The United State is interested in the Russian experience in the organization of counting of votes during the elections, chairman of the Russian Central Election Commission Alexander Veshnyakov told journalists on Saturday. He was an international observer at the presidential elections in the U.S.

The U.S. Federal Election Commission plans a total transfer to electronic voting by 2007-2008, Mr. Veshnyakov noted. "Therefore, its representatives are interested in our experience," he added.

According to the chairman of the Russian Central Election Commission, a preliminary agreement on the visit of the federal commission's experts to Russia in the beginning of 2005 was achieved. "They would like to get acquainted with the Vybory [elections] state automatic system in the conditions of a real election campaign," Alexander Veshnyakov said.
