"The heavy aircraft-carrying cruiser of the Northern Fleet Admiral Kuznetsov put November 3 to the Barents Sea, some time after a military campaign in Northeast Atlantic, to routinely practice flights of seaborne aircraft at sea. Within the framework of flights for the first time the new seaborne combat aircraft Su-27KUB will practice taking off, landing and air maneuvering in real conditions," he said.
In Igor Dygalo's words, flights by both the new plane and other seaborne aircraft on board the Admiral Kuznetsov are taking place successfully.
"During the first day of the trip, taking off and landing of seaborne aircraft were practiced. The planes also practiced maneuvering in the air," he said.
He noted that the second day of the trip was devoted to practicing shipborne helicopter flights. Igor Dygalo stressed that the equipment of the Admiral Kuznetsov and its armaments were functioning normally, despite the long voyage the ship had made before putting to the Barents Sea.
