MOSCOW, November 1 (RIA Novosti) - Yukos stockholders are not presently regarding prospects of petroleum mammoth bankruptcy, an anonymous informant close to the holders said to Novosti.

Back fiscal claims on the Yuganskneftegas, biggest Yukos production affiliate, make 67.5 billion roubles, roughly US$2.3 billion, for 2001, and 29.6 billion roubles for 2002, as previously announced, confirms our interviewee.

Bruce Misamore, Yukos finance manager, on the contrary, does not rule out bankruptcy as a way to ensure company future. "We have been avoiding it for now thanks to cooperative clients and suppliers. We are leading the company day in, day out, and we shall do so as long as we can-but things cannot go on that way. Possibly, bankruptcy offers the best pattern to ensure Yukos future to an extent in which it will help to involve all our creditors on an established and just arrangement," he said in an interview with the Paris-based Le Monde.
