MOSCOW, October 24 (RIA Novosti) - Doctors describe the condition of Russian figure skater Tatiana Totmyanina injured during a performance in the U.S., as stable, head of the Russian Figure-Skating Federation Valentin Piseyev told the NTV news network on Sunday.

"There was a mismatch of the partners' actions. As a result, the partner failed to hold her tightly up, he fell down himself, and so did she," he said.

Only in 20 minutes was she taken to hospital, Piseyev said. According to the figure-skating official, a doctor said as she was examined that there was no severe injury - "just a major bruise."

The accident happened in Pittsburgh as Totmyanina was making a complicated figure together with her partner Maksim Marinin. The world champion fell down, and her head hit the ice. For several minutes she was unconscious.
