MOSCOW, October 23 (RIA Novosti) - Madeleine Albright, an ex-US Secretary of State, has presented her book entitled "Madam Secretary, A Memoir" where she gives an honest account of her divorce and tells about a big headache named Saddam Hussein.

Ms Albright opened the presentation ceremony that began 20 minutes behind schedule by saying in Russian - "Hello, I thank you."

Born in Czechoslovakia the first female state secretary in the United States' history, Ms Albright said she had felt it was her duty to write the book. Being state secretary is an honour and duty, according to her. My duty was to write about the period in history when I took the post of US State Secretary, said Ms Albright.

Ms Albright said the book comprised four parts. One of the biggest narrates about Ms Albright's activities as US Ambassador to the United Nations and focuses on the Middle East and Yugoslavia crises.

Ms Albright offered warm reminiscences of teamwork with Yevgeny Primakov and Igor Ivanov, Russia's ex-foreign ministers. Speaking about the current Russian foreign minister, Sergei Lavrov, Ms Albright said smiling that they had worked together at the UN. According to Ms Albright, they had a lot of arguments discussing developments in Yugoslavia, Iraq and Saddam Hussein.

Ms Albright emphasised that she had openly told about her personal life (marriage, divorce and children).

Known for her rough temper, Ms Albright warned at the presentation ceremony she would only answer questions related to the book. However, she did answer questions about the acute international issues.

Ms Albright is also known for her love for brooches. This time too she wore two silver colibri-shaped brooches on the lapel of her jacket.
