HELSINKI, October 11 (RIA Novosti's Olga Andrianova) - The Caucasus-Centre, Chechen separatist website, has been outlawed in Finland.

The site was out of the Finnish-based Sonera Co. server, as investigation made clear. The information reached Novosti in an interview, earlier on the day, with Jurkki Karasvirta, chief of PR for the TeliaSonera Finland Oyj telecommunication company.

The Sonera grants communication channels to a great many clients. One of them, a commercial company, offered its server to the controversial Caucasus-Centre, said Mr. Karasvitra. He was not authorised to specify the company name, saying only that it was based in Finland.

The Sonera discussed with police experts prospects to oust the tarnished company from communication channels. The police made no such orders as the server caters for many other, perfectly innocent users.

The matter was left to the disposal of the police and other Finnish authorities, who had received all available information about the site.

The Caucasus Centre overtly propagates violence, and cannot be tolerated, Erkki Tuomioja, Finland's Foreign Minister, said today. He was addressing the media to sum up a European Union foreign-ministerial conference in Luxembourg, contacts with Russia prominent on the agenda.
