VELIKI NOVGOROD, September 3 (RIA Novosti) - The Eurasian Financial Action Task Force will be established in October, head of Russia's Financial Monitoring Service (FSFM) Victor Zubkov told the Valdai International Discussion Club, which gathered for a sitting on Friday. The club is arranged by RIA Novosti and the Foreign Defence Policy Council.
"The founding conference with be held in the first decade of October in Moscow to establish the Eurasian group along the FATF lines", Zubkov said.
It will include Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Central Asian states and China.
Some of them still have no legislation on money-laundering, which prevents the struggle against drug trafficking from Afghanistan to these countries, Zubkov said.
"When the Eurasian organisation sets to, the region (Central Asia) will operate along the lines of the civilised world", the FSFM chief said.
