The two met on Tuesday at Fetisov's initiative, his adviser Dmitri Tugarin told RIA Novosti on Tuesday.
Tugarin quotes Fetisov as asking Rogge for a get-together immediately after the end of yesterday's horizontal bar competition.
Tugarin said that Fetisov, who witnessed the competition, immediately after Alexei Nemov's performance had a tough conversation with Leonid Arkaev, chief coach of the Russian national team. In question was why none of the heads of the Russian gymnastics team protested refereeing soon after Nemov was marked, although the rules allow protesting from representatives of national teams.
Tugarin also said that Fetisov had a serious conversation with the president of the Russian Olympic Committee, Leonid Tyagachev. They discussed the Russian performance at the Olympic Games and the judges' approach.
On Tuesday IOC public relations director Giselle Davis, asked by RIA Novosti what the IOC thinks of refereeing yesterday's horizontal bar tournament, said that the IOC does not intervene in such matters because it is the international sports federations that are held responsible for the technical aspect of competitions.
