MOSCOW, July 3 (RIA Novosti) - Spokespeople for the Russian Prosecutor General confirm reports that Yukos' head office on Dubininskaya Street, in downtown Moscow, has been searched. According to them, the search is part of a criminal investigation into the oil giant's alleged tax evasion and embezzlement.
Criminal proceedings against Mikhail Khodorkovsky and Platon Lebedev, two major shareholders in the embattled company, were separated from the Yukos case some time ago. The men are facing fraud, embezzlement and tax evasion charges.
