VIENNA, June 29 (RIA Novosti) - The management of the International Atomic Energy Agency is satisfied with the high assessment [of its work] Russian President Vladimir Putin gave on Tuesday at a meeting with the Agency's Director General, Mohamed ElBaradei.

According to a high-ranking source in the IAEA Secretariat in Vienna, "the Russian president's words about the fact that the IAEA has become a very prestigious and powerful organization that fulfills an important function and enjoys a great authority in the world will be an exclusively dynamic impetus for a more perfect activity of the Agency for the benefit of mankind."

The source emphasized, "the IAEA and Moscow have been recently looking for and finding common language in the resolution of important problems concerning nuclear security and the nuclear nonproliferation regime. This finds its expression not only in the resolutions of the IAEA Board of Governors and General Conferences, but also in the fact that ElBaradei was received by the Russian president and they held a conversation important for all humankind that touched upon peaceful development of the nuclear power industry."
