MOSCOW, June 12 (RIA Novosti) - The Russian Extreme Project team will for the first time-ever climb up the northern wall of the Amin-Brak mountain in Pakistan.

On Friday Valeri Rozov of the upcoming expedition told RIA Novosti that on June 15 the team of six (four mountain-climbers, a video cameraman and a physician) will fly to Pakistan.

The 5,850-metre-high Amin-Brak is among the most complex and lengthy mountain walls in the world.

Mountaineers have two times ascended its western wall. "In 1999 Spaniards and in 2000 Czechs did. There have been no attempts to climb the northern slope", Rozov said.

The absence of snow on the wall is another complexity. "Snow just cannot stick to it", he said. "We will have to carry an additional load".

The project is going to take 45 days. It will take the Russians ten days to reach the place where the ascent proper will begin.

"It's hard to say how long the ascent will take. Hopefully, it will be two weeks", Rozov said.

Not only ascent is in the plans. Reaching the peak, Rozov will make a parachute jump from the northern wall. He says the jump will last 60 seconds.
