The Russian Information Agency Novosti begins Hotline coverage for Friday, June 11, 2004.

MOSCOW

* The Russian Railways open joint stock company will hold an extended board session. The draft program of the Russian Railways strategic development will be on the agenda.

* The Russian Information Agency Novosti will host:

- a briefing on current issues of Russia's foreign policy with Foreign Ministry's official spokesman Alexander Yakovenko;

- a roundtable entitled "Priorities of Russia's state national policy and the future of national-cultural autonomies in the light of the results of the 2002 all-Russia population census".

* The Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry will host a roundtable on the condition and prospects for development of the independent expert examination and certification on Russia's consumer market.

* Moscow Mayor Yuri Luzhkov will give an official reception for conferees of International Women's Forum.

* Moscow will host a briefing following the State Duma's consideration of bills on the housing market in Russia.

* Moscow will host a press conference on the road-train rally on the route Lisbon-Vladivostok. Its purpose is to demonstrate possibilities of truck haulage across Eurasia.

* Football fans will leave for EURO-2004 to Portugal from Vnukovo airport.

* Moscow will host a press conference on the 2005 world karate championship in Moscow. The president of the World Karate-do Federation will participate in the press conference.

MAKHACHKALA

* Russian Economic Development and Trade Minister German Gref will pay a routine visit to Dagestan. He will held a session in Dagestan's State Council and visit local settlements.

ST. PETERSBURG

* The St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry will host an international business-forum on problems and prospects for Russia's accession to the World Trade Organization.

* A delegation of the assistance union of Clotilde von Rintelen (Wiesbaden) led by Countess Clotilde von Rintelen (nee von Merenberg), great granddaughter of Emperor Alexander II and great Russian poet Alexander Pushkin will arrive in St. Petersburg. The countess will visit the Nicholas hospital in Petrodvorets (St. Petersburg's suburb). She sponsors the centralized clinical laboratory in this hospital. Countess von Rintelen was awarded with memorial medal in honor of St. Petersburg's 300th anniversary for her humanitarian contribution into the development of the city's health sphere.

KHARKOV

A delegation of the Russian Federation Council led by its Speaker Sergei Mironov, currently on an official visit to Ukraine, will arrive in Kharkov and participate in the opening ceremony of the Russian Consulate General. Russian parliamentarians are to take part in the session on condition and prospects for border cooperation development.
