MOSCOW/TSKHINVALI, June 1 (RIA Novosti) - The meeting of the heads of the Mixed Control Commission (MCC) on the settlement of the Georgian-Ossetian conflict will take place on Wednesday in Tskhinvali - the capital of South Ossetia (self-proclaimed republic on Georgian territory), RIA Novosti was told in the South Ossetian administration.

According to the source, the Georgian side gave its consent to the holding of this meeting.

"The only question that will be discussed there is aggravation of the situation in the wake of Georgian troops' deployment to the conflict zone," he said.

Earlier it was planned that the MCC session will be held in Tbilisi.

On Monday Georgia deployed units of special forces and interior troops to the area of the Ossetian-Georgian conflict under the pretext of fighting smuggling.

The Georgian special forces blocked villages situated along the central Gori-Tskhinvali route, said the information and press committee of the unrecognized republic of South Ossetia.

"By specified data, yesterday 700 special forces men of the Georgian interior troops, 100 special forces men of the Georgian State Security Ministry and 100 officers of other Georgian power structures took part in Georgia's special operation against South Ossetia. 8 helicopters of the Georgian interior ministry were deployed to the conflict area as well," says a committee statement.
