MOSCOW, April 14 (RIA Novosti) - Interaction with the State Duma and the Federation Council (the lower and upper chambers of Russian parliament) is for the Russian Foreign Ministry one of the most important instruments for shaping foreign policy recommendations, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said at the meeting on Thursday with representatives of the Duma international committee.
"I'm glad to have an open exchange of opinions. It is useful for taking stock of initiatives", Lavrov said.
"We appreciate the interaction and would be glad further to develop cooperation with the State Duma. It is impossible now to work without interaction with parliamentary structures", he noted.
