ST. PETERSBURG, April 13 (RIA Novosti-Northwest) - Presidential economic adviser Andrei Illarionov has approved the government reorganization.
"The reduced number of ministries, their transformation into more effective bodies, the abolishment of some ministries - all this is leading us in the right direction," Mr. Illarionov said on Tuesday in reply to St. Petersburg reporters' questions.
In his words, the administrative reform is aimed to cut the number of the state functions. "It will result in a more compact, effective and transparent state, which will be cheaper to run," said the presidential adviser.
He noted that structural changes for the presidential plenipotentiary representations were being prepared.
