MOSCOW, April 12 (RIA Novosti) - It takes concerted global efforts to achieve Iraqi settlement, said Sergei Lavrov, Russia's Foreign Minister, following an enlarged-attendance international affairs committee session of the Federation Council, parliament's upper house.
It was a bad error to attempt settlement unilaterally and through the use of force. Russia was warning about it from the start. Practice has now confirmed the point. Russia is ready to join hands with the United Nations and the whole world-in particular, Arab countries-to settle Iraqi developments all together, said the minister.
