TASHKENT, March 20, 2004. (RIA Novosti correspondent Valery Niyamzatov). Azerbaijan's President Ilkham Aliyev will pay a state visit to Uzbekistan from March 23 to 24, 2004 at an invitation from his Uzbek counterpart Islam Karimov.
They are to discuss bilateral relations, vital international issues, the political situation in the South Caucasus and Central Asia and bilateral and multilateral cooperation within international organizations, said Ilkhom Zakirov, the press secretary of the Uzbek foreign minister.
