MOSCOW, March 6 (RIA Novosti) - Vladimir Putin congratulated Mikhail Zvanetsky, art director of the Moscow miniature theater and well known satirist on his 70th birthday.
RIA Novosti was told in the Russian president's press service that the congratulation reads in part:
"You are by right a recognized classic in your genre, a luminary of domestic satire. You manage to convey all the fullness and variety of our life with fine and ironic touches.
"Phrases voiced by Mikhail Zhvanetsky remain winged words and firmly enter the modern language. And this is a noteworthy assessment of the skill of a really unique writer whose art is known not only for effervescent humor but for the profundity of thought, too."
