MOSCOW, MARCH 4. /RIA NOVOSTI / -- The national team of the Russian Interior Ministry has become the world hockey champion among the police teams, an official spokesman for the Main Department of Home Security of the Russian Interior Ministry told RIA Novosti.

"In Davos today the Russian players defeated the Czech police team 3:2", he said.

He also reported that, within the framework of the international winter sports tournament among the police teams, the hockey team of the Russian Interior Ministry held six meets with the teams of the United States, Germany and Sweden.

Captain of the Russian team General-Lieutenant Konstantin Romodanovski, head of the Main Department of Home Security, scored seven goals, boasted the department's representative.
