Thirty-two participants of the upcoming 2018 FIFA World Cup have been divided into eight groups, with Russia, as the host country, heading Group A, at the draw for the final stage of the championship held on December 1 at the Kremlin.
Commenting on Russia's preparations for the main event in the football world, FIFA President Gianni Infantino said earlier in the day that he expects the 2018 World Cup to be "best ever."
Russia will host the FIFA World Cup for the first time from June 14 — July 15, 2018, with the games set to take place in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kaliningrad, Volgograd, Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod, Samara, Saransk, Rostov-on-Don, Yekaterinburg and Sochi.
