It was previously reported that police were investigating a suspect seen on security footage at the Erawan Shrine, who entered the shrine with a backpack and then left without it.
Police have expressed certainty that the man captured on the footage, made public on Tuesday, is the bomber, according to media reports.
"We are also looking for other suspects in connection with the blast. These types of attacks are not usually planned by one person alone," police spokesman Prawut Thawornsiri said, as quoted by The Guardian.
At least 20 people, including 11 foreigners, were reportedly killed and more were injured in Monday’s explosion.
Thai authorities have described the bombing as a terrorist attack, targeting the country’s tourism industry, but no terrorist organization has claimed responsibility for the attack as yet.
