According to the country's health ministry, the total number of confirmed coronavirus cases increased from 32,412 on Saturday to 33,922 on Sunday.

The coronavirus death toll in Canada rose by nearly 12% to 1,506 in one day, the country's public health agency said.

It added that the total number of confirmed cases of coronavirus infection stood at 33,922 against 32,412 the previous day.
