WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — US President Donald Trump and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi discussed in a telephone call the first ever shipment of US crude oil to India among other issues, the White House said in a press release on Tuesday.
"President Trump further welcomed the first ever shipment of American crude oil to India, which will occur from Texas this month, pledging that the United States would continue to be a reliable, long-term supplier of energy," the release stated.
Trump and Modi are both looking forward to the Global Entrepreneurship Summit, which will take place in India this November and the US president’s daughter Ivanka Trump will attend along with the US delegation, the release added.
The release also said Modi thanked Trump for his strong leadership that is bringing the world together against North Korea.
