MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Russian, Turkish and Iranian military experts may hold talks on Syria in Tehran on August 8-9 and the sides are waiting for the confirmation from Ankara, a spokesperson for the Russian Embassy in Iran told Sputnik.

"The trilateral negotiations of military experts within the Astana Russia-Iran-Turkey format are scheduled to take place on August 8-9. There is no 100-percent guarantee that these talks will take place until the final consent of the Turkish side is received," the spokesperson said.
