"Special attention must be paid to the issue of the dissemination of destructive ideologies through new information and communication technologies, which also serve as tools for carrying out extremist and terrorist actions, tools of ideological recruitment for radical structural destruction. The other factor contributing to the spread of extremist views is inadequate migration policies and measures concerning the protocols of the social adaptation of migrants," Patrushev said at the BRICS member states' national security high representatives' meeting in Beijing.
On Friday, the seventh meeting of the BRICS member states’ high representatives on national security kicked off in the capital of China, Beijing.
BRICS is an association of five developing economies whose aim is enhancing cooperation between the growing-economy member states of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa, and strengthening the efforts of other international organizations working for world betterment in a number of spheres.
