WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — US and Ukrainian officials continue talks on provision of lethal defensive weapons to Kiev, Department of Defense spokesperson Capt. Jeff Davis said in a briefing on Wednesday.

"We don't have any policy changes to announce, but certainly it's something that we talk about regularly," Davis told reporters.

On Tuesday, State Department spokesperson Heather Nauert said in a briefing that the United States has not made any steps regarding supplying Ukraine with lethal defensive weapons.

Nauert said that Washington is "not there" yet.
