MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said he had a good relationship with former US State Secretary John Kerry, adding that they "laughed a lot."

Speaking to the NBC network, Lavrov said he laughed when pictures were being taken when an official was telling a joke.

"With John Kerry for example we laughed a lot … we enjoyed our private relations as much as we concentrated on our business, on Syria and elsewhere," Lavrov said.

Kerry served as the 68th US Secretary of State in 2013-2017 under President Barack Obama.
