MOSCOW (Sputnik) – The United States hopes it can improve the NATO-Russia relations, US Ambassador to Russia John Tefft said Tuesday, adding that he was hoping for a more effective NATO-Russia council.

Speaking to reporters, Tefft said that Washington hoped that it could improve the bloc’s ties with Russia, adding that he personally would like to see increased effectiveness of the NATO-Russia council.
