Canada to Send 6 CF-18 Fighters to Iceland for Air Policing Mission

Canada's six CF-18 fighters will depart for Iceland to carry out air policing mission in the framework of NATO agreement, local media reported Saturday.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) – According to the CBC News broadcaster, the fighters will be conducting unarmed patrols for several weeks since late May.

The air policing  mission will be followed by another mission in Romania in September, the broadcaster reported, citing Canada's defense officials.
