Russian-Japanese Peace Treaty Cannot Take Shape 'Overnight' - Putin
TOKYO (Sputnik) – Russia should know what to expect in talks with Japan on the peace treaty issue, taking into account Tokyo’s special relationship with the United States, Russian President Vladimir Putin said Thursday.

"Taking into the account the special nature of relations between Japan and the United States and contractual obligations within the framework of the agreement on security between Japan and the United States, How will these relations develop? We don’t know. We would like that our Japanese colleagues and friends took into the account all intricacies and concerns of the Russian side," Putin told a press conference in Japan.

A Russian-Japanese Business Dialogue meeting is held on Friday and attended by Russian President Vladimir Putin and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.
