BELGRADE (Sputnik) Earlier this month, media reports emerged claiming that Croatian President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic suggested that a military conflict could begin in the Balkan region as Russia is actively influencing regional events.

"As you know, I know the Croatian president, I think I have good relations with her ever since she was the foreign minister, and it is strange for me to hear such statements from the mouth of the head of state with which Russia wants to be friends, as with other Balkan countries and on the European continent. If Ms president has specific facts proving these claims, we are ready to discuss these facts with her," Lavrov said.
