MOSCOW (Sputnik) Russia is confident that the US nuclear arms stationed in Germany are a relic of the Cold War and does not serve any practical tasks, Russian Foreign Ministry's Third European Department Director Sergey Nechayev told Sputnik.

“From our side, we are sure that the US nuclear weapons in Germany are a relic of the ‘Cold War,’ have not served the implementation of any practical tasks for a long time and should be decommissioned in ‘historical garbage,’” Nechayev said.
