Unresolved Regional Conflicts Pose Predominant Concern for OSCE - German FM

The participants of the 23rd OSCE Ministerial Council highlighted that unresolved regional conflicts served as the main issue of concern, Germany's Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier said Friday.

HAMBURG (Sputnik) — Situation in eastern Ukraine as well as conflicts in Nagorno-Karabakh and Transnistria were high on the agenda.

"The issue of unresolved regional conflicts as a predominant concern was highlighted. All sides of these conflicts in the OSCE area should contribute more actively and more constructively to deescalation and peaceful settlement, supported by the OSCE and other international actors, " Steinmeier said.

The OSCE ministerial council in Hamburg that saw delegations from 57 member states and 11 cooperation partners coming together to discuss most acute security issues, finished on Friday.
