German Justice Minister Heiko Maas called Donald Trump’s prospected victory in the US presidential election a "bitter warning" for the world.

BERLIN (Sputnik) — Donald Trump’s prospected victory in the US presidential election is not the end of the world but things will get crazier now, German Justice Minister Heiko Maas claimed Wednesday.

"The world will not end but it will get even crazier," Maas tweeted, adding Trump’s surprise win was a "bitter warning" and more efforts were needed from now on to address fear, hate and division.

The Republican triumphed over Democratic rival and Germany’s favorite, Hillary Clinton, in Tuesday’s presidential election. Berlin described Clinton as a more predictable president who it had experience of dealing with during her time as the US secretary of state.
