Speaking to Rossiya Segodnya International Information Agency’s Director General Dmitry Kiselev, Aliyev said that terrorism could only be defeated if “the whole international community, all leading countries” were to join efforts.
“Unfortunately we do not see this today, and in this case I consider the approach of the Russian side fully justified, when Russia says the same – it is necessary to join efforts against extremists, against terrorists, against radicals,” the president said.
According to Aliyev, dividing terrorists into “good and bad” is an incorrect approach.
“Sooner or later, this boomerang will strike, history has proven this many times. We see no consensus in this direction yet, which is of course very worrying,” he added.
