The blocking of the accounts of the RT broadcaster in the United Kingdom will not lead to the company halting its operations in the country, RT Editor-in-Chief Margarita Simonyan said Monday.
“Not at the moment [ the company’s work will not be suspended], but it is clear to us that this is not the last step the United Kingdom is prepared to take to limit our broadcasting,” she told RIA Novosti.
RT operates a number of cable and satellite television channels in a number of languages and is directed at a foreign audience. The channels provide 24-hour news coverage, as well as airing documentaries, talk shows and debates.
The fact of registration and authorization of users on Sputnik websites via users’ account or accounts on social networks indicates acceptance of these rules.
Users are obliged abide by national and international laws. Users are obliged to speak respectfully to the other participants in the discussion, readers and individuals referenced in the posts.
The websites’ administration has the right to delete comments made in languages other than the language of the majority of the websites’ content.
In all language versions of the sputniknews.com websites any comments posted can be edited.
