Russian Foreign Ministry Human Rights Ombudsman Konstantin Dolgov said that Moscow is ready for cooperation and exchange of information with the United States on mutual legal aid.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Russia is ready for cooperation and exchange of information with the United States on mutual legal aid, but Washington chooses to act selectively, Russian Foreign Ministry Human Rights Ombudsman Konstantin Dolgov said Friday.

US authorities arrested two Russian nationals Dmitrii Karpenko and Alexey Krutilin on allegations of plans to export controlled microelectronics to Russia, the US Department of Justice said in a release on Thursday.

"It currently seems that this is clearly another incident, circumvention by the United States of the bilateral agreement on mutual legal help of 1999. They do this very frequently, they use this agreement extremely selectively," Dolgov said as broadcast on the Rossiya 24 television channel, adding that Moscow was ready for cooperation of this kind.
