The United States is disappointed that Russia has halted a bilateral agreement to dispose of weapons-grade plutonium, White House spokesperson Josh Earnest said at a press briefing on Monday.

WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — Earlier on Monday, Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered the halting of the Plutonium Management and Disposition Agreement over Washington’s hostile actions.

"The decision of the Russians to unilaterally withdraw from this commitment is disappointing," Earnest told reporters.
