One of the world’s biggest pharmaceutical companies Teva and Russia’s Nanolek agreed to relocate production of sterile injection drugs to Russia, Nanolek said in a statement.

JERUSALEM (Sputnik) — The industrial cooperation will start with the localization of the manufacturing of glatiramer acetate used to treat multiple sclerosis.

"The aims of the partnership include producing sterile injection drugs on the basis of a biopharmaceutical plant of the Nanolek company, creating additional workplaces, training specialists, transfer of technologies including final quality inspection, transfer of intellectual property rights and attraction of investments," the statement said.

It noted that pharmaceutical substances produced at Israeli plants would be used for producing medicines in Russia.

Nanolek added that the production cycle would be completed in the fourth quarter of 2018.
