MOSCOW (Sputnik) — On Tuesday and Thursday, the Fancy Bear hacking group released two batches of WADA documents, alleging the agency allowed a number of athletes to take banned substances. WADA said Russian hackers were behind the attack and asked Russian government to "do everything in their power" to stop the publications.
"You can see that we are not protected too. Data should be kept someway, there should be security program. I have read that Niggli has addressed us, the government [with a request] to provide assistance and we will ask our corresponding agencies to work," Mutko said.
He added that it was hard for him to comment on the list of the athletes, because it was related to the Olympic Games held by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and it should be commended by the IOC and the WADA.
