WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — US citizens should be aware of an anti-NATO demonstration in the Old Town area of the Estonian capital Tallinn planned for September 10, the US Department of State Bureau of Diplomatic Security (OSAC) said in a message on Thursday.
"The stated purpose is to protest the NATO presence in Europe," the message stated. "Embassy personnel have been advised to avoid the area during the demonstration and remain cognizant that the security situation can change rapidly in these scenarios."
The OSAC explained that even peaceful protests could turn confrontational, and advised US citizens and Embassy personnel to avoid the demonstration.
