MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The Kremlin has seen no requests from Cuban leader Fidel Castro addressed to Russian President Vladimir Putin regarding oil supplies to the island due to the disruption in supplies from Venezuela, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Wednesday.
"I have not seen such a message," Peskov told journalists.
Venezuela has been in a state of an economic emergency since January, with product shortages having become widespread in the country. Venezuela’s opposition has blamed President Nicolas Maduro for the economic crisis.
