WASHINGTON (Sputnik) – The lack of fighting between US allies Turkey and Kurdish forces in Northern Syria last night offers an encouraging sign that multiple armies in the region remain dedicated to defeat Daesh terrorists, White House spokesman Josh Earnest said in a briefing on Tuesday.
“The United States welcomes the overnight calm between the Turkish military and other counter-Daesh forces in Syria,” Earnest told reporters. “Our priority here totally needs to be on fighting Daesh.”
