Russian Foreign Minister said that BRICS is not currently considering to accept new members.

YEKATERINBURG (Sputnik) BRICS is not currently considering to accept new members, but there is a major international interest in the association, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said Monday.

"There are no plans of accepting new members at this time, though there is a major interest," Lavrov said at the Ural Federal University in Russia's Yekaterinburg.

"This is a very important format, approaches to key international problems are being agreed in its framework," he added.
