MOSCOW (Sputnik) — According to the Azerbaijani APA news agency, Iran's leader was welcomed at the airport by Azerbaijan's First Deputy Prime Minister Yaqub Eyyubov.
On Monday, Rouhani is set to join the trilateral meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
The three leaders are expected to discuss the situations in Syria and Afghanistan, as well as the Daesh threat during their meeting in Azerbaijan's capital Baku.
The August 8 trilateral meeting is expected to result in the signing of a joint declaration.
