WASHINGTON (Sputnik) – Dozens of Ukrainian soldiers have concluded their training in the US state of Alabama on using surveillance drones, the US embassy in Kiev said in a press release on Wednesday.
“Several dozen Ukrainian soldiers already have completed training on Raven Unmanned Aircraft System in Huntsville, Alabama,” the release stated.
The Raven Unmanned Aircraft system provides day and night aerial intelligence. The equipment and training is part of a $600-million security assistance package the United States has provided to Ukraine since the country erupted in civil conflict in 2014.
