BAKU (Sputnik) — The leaders of Russia, Iran and Azerbaijan will hold a meeting on the North-South transport corridor and the date of the meeting will be decided in August, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov said Tuesday.
"We discussed the North-South project in Baku. An agreement was reached regarding a presidential level meeting on the North-South project. A decision on the meeting of the presidents of Azerbaijan, Russia and Iran will be made in August," Mammadyarov said at a meeting with his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov.
Russia and Azerbaijan are working on several energy and transport ventures, as well as plan on investing in Iran-related project.
