"Three main issues will be touched upon: the issue of nuclear energy, especially important for both countries, and a joint Russian-Egyptian project of the nuclear power plant in Dabaa, the issue of tourism… as the suspension of flow of Russian tourists seems illogical against the background of good relations [our] two countries have," Heikal said.
The third important issue, according to Heikal, is a possibility of resuming directs flights between Russia and Egypt, which were suspended after the crash of a Russian airliner in in Egypt's Sinai Peninsula on October 31, 2015.
Heikal noted that relations between Russia and Egypt were important for both countries, noting that Cairo appreciated the support Russia had provided to the country during turbulent times in its history.
